Boulia is the heart of Pitta Pitta country and it is a beautiful country. Next time you are in North West Queensland, drop in to Boulia and while you are there check out the Boulia Stone House Museum.
The museum is looked after by Dick Suter, an expert on fossils as well as an old timer of Boulia. He has spent much of his life with the local Aboriginal people and can tell history from both sides of the fence, which he does in a most fascinating way.

The museum has a couple of displays of Aboriginal history from the beginning of the 20th centry including these stone artifacts.

Boulia, in the central Australian desert, has been an inland sea at least three times in it’s history.
